Approaching a century of ideas, I will use this area to cover the thoughts arranged by others:
Troubling Trinity
James Webb: characteristics of gifted children and adults also predispose them to existential distress. Because brighter people are able to envision the possibilities of how things might be, they tend to be idealists. However, they are simultaneously able to see that the world falls short of their ideals. Unfortunately, these visionaries also recognize that their ability to make changes in the world is very limited. Because they are intense, these gifted individuals—both children and adults—keenly feel the disappointment and frustration that occurs when their ideals are not reached. They notice duplicity, pretense, arbitrariness, insincerities, and absurdities in society and in the behaviors of those around them
Amos Wilson: For a very large percentage of White Americans, young Black males, sexual promiscuity, and criminality are synonymous. In the dominant White American consciousness the African male is existentially guilty, (i.e., he is guilty by his mere existence) for merely having the audacity to be alive. There is a pervasive feeling among many White Americans that their world would be so much more secure if all young Black males were imprisoned, solitarily confined to their ghettos, or kept under constant surveillance…. it writes [justice] codes not in the interest of justice as defined by its own moral ode, but in the interest of maintaining, justifying and enforcing is continued dominance of the African American community
Miranda Fricker: … we could ask what is the wrong? OK. And the wrong that somebody receives when they suffer testimonial injustice because their word received deflated credibility owing to prejudice, is a kind of epistemic insult,.. they are insulted or undermined specifically in their capacity as a knower, and in the case of testimonial injustice the way in which they’re undermined as a knower is that they’re undermined as a giver of knowledge because they’re prevented from passing on the knowledge they’ve got by prejudice on the part of the hearer. And I think that that sort of insult is a very distinctive kind of insult […] And there’s also an epistemic aspect to the injustice because the person who perpetrates that injustice is going to lose out on knowledge as they allow prejudice to block the flow of knowledge from the speaker to them.

with the games on the road, I managed to dig up [and paraphrase] the following words of Barbara Aho who explained the following:

August 29, closing day of Athens Olympics, and the closing ceremony, but august 29 a year later was when Katrina hit New Orleans. That night the transit of Venus, where Venus (Lucifer representation) intercepts the sun; March 11 was the transit bombing. Opening ceremony begun with a steel maker hammering an anvil signifying Thor, but also had to do with alchemy which is “transmuting base metals into gold”. Hollywood, since day one, used dramas to invoke the gods to give clues and omens – as magic rituals acting in dramas.
Egypt, originally called KHEM<CHEM, was where it came from. An alchemical experiment to reproduce the lost civilisation of Atlantis, but Egypt has never again been the world power that it was then. Gnostic belief is that Adam was once a god, androgynous, but attracted to the material world he was divided into two sexes, man and female but Lucifer came along offering them freedom from the bondage of matter but god, the demiurge cast Lucifer out. This theme of alchemy runs through the Olympic ceremony.
Italy had its own version of the Mardi Gras that was called carnival. It was the closing ceremony of the Olympic s and a real sight to behold compared toi the opening ceremonies. All will be natural law in the closing age, according to Lucifer, and that as defined by Crowley is ‘do as thou wilt, that shall be the whole of the law’. But they will need to get rid of those who don’t believe and those who follow the bible.
